Skiing & Snowboarding

Queenstown is nestled in the heart of the Southern Alps.

Four magnificent ski areas Coronet Peak, The Remarkables' Ski field, Cardrona and Treble Cone are within reach promising adventures for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.

Beautiful Coronet Peak and The Remarkable's Ski fields are just a 20 minute drive from our door, Cardrona an hours drive over the Crown range and Treble Cone (intermediate and advanced runs) approximately 1.5 hours of driving from our door.

NZ Ski buses pass our door each day and runs every 30 minutes. We have links below for mountains passes and buses.

Walking / Hiking

If you love to get outside in the fresh air  and take in the amazing mountain and lake vistas as much as we do, then you are in luck!

Queenstown and it's surrounding areas offer a wide variety of  hiking tracks for ALL levels of fitness.

The Queenstown trail is located 500 metres from our door step here at Stay.

Walking the local tracks provides a great way to absorb our natural flora and fauna while you take in the incredible natural beauty and spectacular views!

We are happy to recommend walks depending on your fitness level, just ring the reception bell, txt or call us and we will point you in the direction of our favourite local walks.

Wine lovers come hither and sample some of the world's best Pinot. Queenstown is at the western edge of the Central Otago growing region and many wineries are within easy reach from our accommodation.

Vineyards, welcoming cellar doors, and superb winery eateries are found throughout the area - from nearby Lake Hayes and the Gibbston Valley and further afield. Award winning wine abounds and and many a happy hour can be spent searching for your favourite.

At Stay we are wine lovers and have sampled many a local drop! We are more than happy to recommend our favourite tours and cellar doors. Drop us an email, ring the reception bell, txt or call us and if you need transportation to and from the vineyards that can be arranged.
